What DenkWare is.
And why it works.
AI that lets people use machines and materials better than ever — grounded in physics, used by the people on the floor, and judged on measurable results.
Three convictions, two systems
Everything we build follows from three beliefs about AI in manufacturing — and resolves into two named systems: MGSD, the AI that creates, and DenkWare, the software and hardware it produces.
Starts with physics
Real manufacturing intelligence is grounded in the physics of the process — equations and material behaviour — not in correlations mined from data alone.
Used by people
AI in the factory is for operators and specialists to use — not a black box that replaces them. It guides, explains, and supports the people doing the work.
Measurable results
It only counts if it moves the numbers — cut quality, output, energy, OEE. Value has to be visible on the machine, not just in a model.
Manufacturing happens in Process Units — not in machines
A machine alone makes nothing. Output comes from a Machine Process Unit (MPU): the machine plus the people, tools, material and consumables around it. DenkWare organises and optimises the whole unit.
Machine
Core of the MPU — determines capability and capacity.
Specialist
Trained and experienced; high impact on results; owns change management and troubleshooting.
Operator
Trained; follows the instructions; makes no decision.
Material
Major cost driver. Tight specifications are crucial but expensive.
Tool
Often a key contributor to the process result.
Consumables
No major cost driver, but quality and availability matter.
DenkWare = DenkOS + DenkFree + DenkDrivers
DenkOS is the operating layer. DenkFree is the free-to-start software that organises every MPU and guides operators. DenkDrivers add the hardware and physics-based AI that connect — or replace — the machine’s control system.
DenkOS
- Basic operating platform
- Other DenkWare connects via plug-ins
- Organises communication between plug-ins and data management
- Customer-specific data communication (e.g. Catena-X)
- AAS compatible throughout
DenkFree
- Define & organise each Machine Process Unit — machine, tools, materials, operator, data
- Step-by-step instructions delivered to operators via mobile phone
- Built-in compliance — laws, regulations, quality standards
- Skill & training management for every MPU, every time
DenkDrivers
- Machine connection from sensor + mobile to full control-system replacement
- Physics-based AI models for settings & in-process control algorithms
- Stand-alone operation possible — no dependency on the cloud
DenkFree 1.0 launches May 2026. DenkDrivers rollout: Sheet Metal 2026 → Injection Molding 2027 → CNC 2028.
Using AI makes us incredibly fast, accurate — and economical
MGSD (Model Guided Scaffolding) turns a plain-language description of a manufacturing process into a fully integrated, physics-grounded app and a control system for the machine. One prompt, roughly 30 minutes to deploy.
Input prompt
A user prompt describes the process — e.g. “generate laser cutting”.
Physics engine
Researches the process and derives SymPy equations · ML surrogate · 11-step build gate.
Plugin + control output
Real-time signals wired to edge tiers · OPC UA / FMI 3.0 · IDTA AAS · plugin (FLC-APP) to the machine control system.
DenkWare makes old machines better than brand-new ones
Example: a Join-tier laser cutter with DenkFree. Gains are shown against the operator’s own calibrated baseline — empirical, from validated cuts.
Cut-quality prediction accuracy across 556 real-world test cuts (Join · first try).
Cut-quality prediction accuracy to ISO 9013 — launching now.
After six months — availability × productivity × quality.
Gains shown per profile (Max Output vs Energy Saver) against the operator’s calibrated baseline sample.
DenkDrivers integrate machines and AI at three levels
The same DenkFree software sits above every machine. DenkDrivers decide how deep the hardware goes — from clip-on sensors to a full replacement control system — domain by domain.
Clip-on sensors
Sensors attached to the outside of the machine, connected to DenkFree via Bluetooth and a mobile phone. Lowest friction, fastest start.
Edge device + hard wire
Sensors and an edge device integrated into the machine, hard-wired between the existing control system and DenkFree. High value for a simple retrofit.
Full control replacement
A new control system for the machine, fully integrated into DenkFree — includes DenkOff, a local client that runs without a cloud connection. Autonomous operation.
DenkDevice, DenkControl System and DenkOff software extend across domains: Composite Materials, Injection Molding Machines and CNC Machining Centres follow the laser cutter.
DenkWare closes the manufacturing intelligence gap
571,000 EU metal-fabrication shops run on tribal knowledge, paper lists and trial-and-error. The reasons behind marginal progress in manufacturing are remarkably consistent.
of manufacturing costs lost to scrap & rework
days to train a new operator to competency
of machine time spent on setup for short runs
Why now?
Four structural forces converge on the same answer: European manufacturing needs AI-powered intelligence — now.
Labor crisis
2.5M unfilled EU jobs · 10.2M replacements needed by 2030 · 7.3% vacancy rate.
China pressure
#1 machine-tool exporter · €8.6B exports (+13% YoY) · €304.5B EU trade deficit.
Energy squeeze
EU electricity €0.199/kWh — 2.4× China, 2.7× US. A structural cost disadvantage that efficiency must offset.
Scaling up EDTIB
Huge scaling of the European Defense Technological & Industrial Base (EDIS, EDIB, Readiness 2030). German defense spending tripling in three years to €180bn/a. FluxionSystem is a member of BDSV.
These four forces demand AI-powered manufacturing intelligence — now.

ERP integration — staged, by investment level
Start at your existing technology level and scale with minimum investment, staying open to higher-level technology later. DenkFree and DenkDrivers manage the MPUs; ERP modules are connected stage by stage.
Foundation
DenkFree and DenkDrivers connect to the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system via DenkOS plug-ins.
Logistics in
Warehousing, Internal Logistics and Purchasing connect to the shopfloor and PLM — material movement and procurement driven from the same data.
Scheduling in
Production Planning sits on top of material management and the shopfloor — scheduling and capacity now run on live cell data.
Full ERP
Production Planning connected to order handling, CRM, HR, accounting and system integration — a fully integrated enterprise around the DenkWare shopfloor.
IT setup — sovereign, behind the firewall
DenkWare can be deployed as a cloud app or on a local server, with deployment options to match your security needs.
Cloud app
All DenkWare cloud applications are deployed on EU-based servers — no cloud services from non-EU suppliers used.
Local server
On a local server, DenkWare deploys in three configurations — from a stand-alone server behind a single firewall to multi-site setups.
Decentralised satellites
Multi-site deployments can include decentralised manufacturing satellites, keeping data and control within your perimeter.
